Throughout the spring of 2007, IUHOOSIERS.com will catch up with different members of the women's soccer team as they go through their spring season. The interview for Wednesday, March 28, is with sophomore forward Kristin Arnold.
What can we expect to see from the team in 2007?
"Last year we had a fairly young team and I think the experience from last season will help in us in the fall."
What has been the best part of the offseason?
"Coach playing goalie when we play 4-v-4 with `bumpers' is pretty funny!"
How is the team chemistry?
"The conditioning and weight lifting sessions have brought us closer as a team because it is something that nobody really wants to do, but is a huge part of our game."
What is your favorite memory of last season?
"I would have to say my first collegiate goal versus Michigan."
If you could change one thing about collegiate soccer what would it be?
"We would play more games in the offseason because it is hard to only play a few games since that is what we love to do! I would also like more TV exposure."
Describe IUWS in one word:
"Determined"
What is something that most people don't know about IUWS?
"We are just a crazy group of girls that love to play soccer and have fun with an even crazier coach!!!"
If you could tell a person why they should come to Yeagley Field to watch the team in 2007, what would it be?
"We will be a very strong team next year and we love seeing fans in the stands! The atmosphere is great and Yeagley Field has many traditions. We would love for everyone to be a part of it as we make history on the women's side!"
