Hoosiers Tied For 10th At Kepler Intercollegiate

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Indiana men's golf team is tied for tenth after the first round of the Kepler Intercollegiate, hosted by Ohio State University on the OSU Scarlet Course. The Hoosiers turned in a total of 313 for their placement in the weather-shortened event.
Leading the way for IU is sophomore Drew Allenspach, who is tied for 21st after carding a 75 on the day. Following him is classmate Jorge Campillo, who turned in a 76 to stand in a tie for 24th after the first round. Junior Santiago Quirarte shares 56th with an 80 on Saturday, while freshman Alex Martin turned in an 82 to stand in a tie for 73rd. Sophomore Seth Brandon wrapped up the day in a tie for 79th position after an 83.
Louisville leads the event with a total of 292. South Carolina wrapped up the first round in second place with a team total of 294, while Michigan State and Northwestern are tied for third at 295. Penn State rounds out the top-five with a total of 296.
The second round was started on Saturday, but was suspended due to weather. Weather permitting, the second round will be completed on Sunday, April 15, at a time to be announced with a possibility of a third round following that.
