BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women's soccer team will conclude its spring season on Saturday in St. Louis, where the team will meet Memphis and Saint Louis. Game time against Memphis is slated for 9 a.m. EDT, while the Hoosiers and Billikens will kick off at 11:30.
Indiana is 4-1-3 on the spring campaign after beating Miami University 2-0 and tying Evansville 1-1 in last weekend's home affair. Liz Holby scored both goals for the Hoosiers in the Miami contest, finding the back of the net on two fast breaks. Suzie Teixeira notched the Evansville tie at 1-1 with a long pass into the box that fooled the keeper for the score.
Memphis picked up a pair of victories Saturday in spring exhibition matches with Rhodes College and Christian Brothers University. The Lady Tigers pulled a 2-1 win over Rhodes and recorded a victory over CBU.
Saint Louis finished the 2006 season 15-4-2, closing out its run in the NCAA Tournament with a 4-1 loss to Illinois in the second round. The Billikens won their second straight Atlantic 10 Tournament title in 2006 and led the A-10 with 2.33 goals per game. Defensively, the team had a 1.06 team goals against average with nine shutouts.
