April 2, 2006: IU women's tennis head coach Lin Loring collected his 300th career Big Ten win with a 5-2 victory over Wisconsin. The win came in the midst of a season in which the Hoosiers found themselves at 14-5 overall and 4-1 in league play.
April 3, 1999: Indiana's men's track and field team won the Indiana Big Four, topping Purdue, Indiana State and Ball State in a quad meet. Freshmen Greg Yeldell and Raheem Ellis both took Athlete-of-the-Meet awards, with Ellis being named the Track Athlete-of-the-Meet after winning the 100-meters (10.4), the 200-meters (21.1) and running on the winning 4x100-meter relay team (41.1) and Yeldell earning Field Athlete-of-the-Meet honors by winning the long jump (7.00m; 22-11 3/4) and the triple jump (15.49m; 50-10).
April 7, 1999: Junior Teresa Martinez picked up a win and a save as the Hoosiers' softball team swept Ohio State in a Big Ten doubleheader in Bloomington. Junior Staci Meek delivered a three-run triple with two out in the fifth inning of a 5-4, game-one win, while freshman Brooke Monroe pounded a two-run double in a three-run first as IU won game two, 6-2.
April 5, 2003: Jeff Overton finished tied for first but fell in a playoff and the Indiana men's golf team tied for second at the Marshall Invitational. Overton fired a three-round total of 211 (67-69-75), while the team shot a combined 873 (288-286-299) for its second runner-up finish in as many weeks.
April 5, 2005: Junior Kevin Swander took third in the 200-meter breaststroke at the World Championship Trials in Indianapolis, securing a spot on the World University Games roster.
