BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Two Indiana football games will appear on the Big Ten Network during the 2007 season. The Hoosiers' season and home opener on Sept. 1 against Indiana State (8 p.m. EDT) and their Oct. 13 showdown at Michigan State (7 p.m. EDT) will air on the network.
The Indiana State game kicks off the network's game coverage. Indiana holds a 2-0 edge in the all-time series against the Sycamores, earning a 33-3 win the last time the teams met in the Hoosiers' 2003 home opener.
Last season against MSU, Kellen Lewis threw for five touchdowns and ran for a sixth as Indiana pulled off a 46-21 victory on Saturday, Oct. 28, at Memorial Stadium. In front of a raucous Homecoming crowd, James Hardy became the first Hoosier in school history to grab four touchdown passes to help IU recapture the Old Brass Spittoon for the first time since 2001.
The entire 2007 Big Ten Network football schedule and other programming details will be announced in the months leading up to the network's August launch.
