BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Senior Jessica Gall continues to receive honors both athletically and academically after wrapping up her career at Indiana with a Big Ten individual title and a ninth-place finish at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the 10,000-meter run.
Gall was named a U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-American after she earned a similar honor from the NCAA for her finish in the 10K on June 8. Her time of 33:46.69 was a personal best and ranks second all-time in the IU record book.
Gall, a four-time All-American in cross country and track, was also named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District V team, announced by CoSIDA. She is now eligible for the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America team, which will be released by CoSIDA on June 27.
Gall is the fourth straight Hoosier to earn the prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship. She is also a five-time All-Big Ten and four-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree.
