BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - As a part of a series of summer camps, Indiana head women's basketball coach Felisha Legette-Jack and her staff held a Team Shootout on June 21-23 on the campus of Indiana University.
The shootout, which was for girls in grades 6-12 on junior high, junior varsity and varsity teams, took place on the courts of the Wildermuth Center.
Dozens of junior high and high school teams from around the country invaded Bloomington. Teams were placed in pools according to skill level and then guaranteed at least five games against appropriate opponents as well as an automatic berth in the camp tournament.
Bloomington's Tri-North claimed the junior high championships, while Westfield High School out of Indianapolis won the junior varsity bracket. Vincennes (Ind.) High School won the varsity bracket.
Legette-Jack and her staff will close out the camp season with their Satellite Camp at The Fieldhouse in Fishers, Ind. on Aug. 1-2.
