Indiana University women's golf coach Clint Wallman picked up another postseason honor recently when the Bloomington Herald Times named him the Indiana University women's coach of the year.
Wallman led the Hoosiers to their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1998 this past season after posting a fourth place finish at the NCAA Central Regional.
The Hoosiers opened the 2006-07 campaign with a victory at the Badger Invitational in Wisconsin. Junior Elaine Harris captured top medalist honors at the Mountain View Collegiate in Las Vegas on March 14, as the team finished in third place.
Wallman also saw his team set a school scoring record for a three-round tournament at the UNLV Invitational. In the first two rounds of the tournament, the Hoosiers shot consecutive rounds of 285 as a team. Their three-round total of 864 was more than 20 shots better than the previous school record.
