BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Dylan Swift will join the Indiana baseball program for the 2008 campaign, Indiana head coach Tracy Smith announced Monday afternoon. The 5-11, 185-pound catcher hails from Princeton Community High School in Princeton, Ind.
"Dylan comes from a baseball family and brings not only physical talent to our team, but also a toughness that you look for as a coach," Smith said.
Swift was a four-year Big Eight All-Conference selection, a four-year team captain and a four-year all-county honoree. As a senior, he earned all-area accolades and claimed his second most valuable player recognition (2005).
Prior to the 2007 season, Swift was named a Pre-Season Under Amour All-American. He wrapped up the year playing in the Indiana North/South All-Star Game.
