Former Big Ten Champion Wins Indiana Women's Open

Former Indiana women's golf standout Danah Ford recently captured the Indiana Women's Golf Association Women's Open Championship held at the Legends of Indiana Golf Course. She captured the title on the first playoff hole by sinking an 18-foot birdie put to defeat Michelle Morgan.
Ford, who played at Indiana starting in the 2000-01 school year and ending with the 2003-04 season, won the Big Ten Championships with a one-under score of 287 her senior season to set at Big Ten Championships record. She was the only golfer to finish the tournament under par.
It was just her second individual title, with the other coming the week before the Big Ten Championships.
She was named the 2004 Indiana University Female Athlete of the Year and competed in the 2005 U.S. Women's Open Championship.
Ford is currently playing on the Futures Tour, which she joined in 2005.
