Kickoff Luncheon Wraps Up Big Ten Media Days

CHICAGO - The Indiana football team wrapped up its time in Chicago with the Big Ten Kickoff Luncheon on Wednesday afternoon. The event, which was emceed by the Big Ten Network's Dave Revsine, featured player and coach photo and autograph sessions.
IU was represented at the luncheon by wide receiver James Hardy, cornerback Tracy Porter and running back/kick returner Marcus Thigpen in addition to head coach Bill Lynch. Player and coach representatives from all 11 conference teams were in attendance.
The conference also paid tribute to Terry Hoeppner at the luncheon. Former Hoosier All-American Anthony Thompson introduced a video tribute to Hoeppner and also recognized Jane Hoeppner, who attended the event. Lynch also spoke in tribute to his longtime friend.
The Hoosiers will open training camp on Monday, Aug. 6. Freshmen report to camp on Saturday, Aug. 4, while the remaining players arrive on Sunday, Aug. 5.
