Throughout the 2007 Training Camp, IUHOOSIERS.com will sit down and get to know some of the Hoosier football players a little better. Tuesday's chat is with freshman quarterback Mitchell Evans.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
"Hawaii because I heard it was great...or I would go to another beach somewhere to get away from things."
What is something about you that would surprise most people?
"I am pretty good at throwing food up in the air and catching it...as long as it is within reason, nothing too big."
If you weren't playing football, what sport would you be playing?
"Baseball. I had interest from some colleges to play but I chose football instead."
Who has been the biggest influence in your life?
"My brother, Daniel. He taught me everything growing up. Basically everything I know I learned from him."
Do you have any pregame superstitions?
"I just have to do the same thing every time. If we win, I just try to do the same thing week after week. Whatever works I just try to stick with it."
What class are you looking forward to most this semester?
"My bowling class. I'm not that good but I am looking forward to getting good."
What is your favorite TV show?
"Smallville."
Who has been the most helpful in your transition into Indiana so far?
"Probably the freshman class. Once you get to know the guys, they make it a lot easier to get through things."
What is your favorite food?
"Pepperoni pizza."
What has been the biggest difference between high school football and college football?
"The non-stop meetings. We could go home at three o'clock in high school. Here the meetings help the team get on the same page and get prepared for practice."
