SENIOR LEADERSHIP
After being voted as a team captain by her teammates on Wednesday, Aug. 22, Senior Juli Pierce led by example as she was named to the All-NIU Invitational team along with fellow senior, Lauren Ditteon. Pierce paced the Hoosiers with 54 digs and 10 service aces over the weekend.  Ditteon proved to be to be the most consistent player, connecting on 34 kills at a .355 pace while also recording nine assists, eight blocks and five aces.
MARA-VELOUS
Freshman Mara Hilgenberg wasted little time showing Hoosier fans why she was chosen to be Indiana's setter this season despite being a true freshman by recording 18 assists in her first career game. The Lake Forest, Illinois native finished that first match with 56 assists. As an encore, Hilgenberg racked up 66 assists in the Hoosiers' next match, a 3-1 win over Western Illinois.
