IU Day at the State Fair - August 9, 2007
For the second year in a row, the Indiana State Fair will be all about Indiana University for an entire day. On Thursday, August 9 on Expo Hall Street, IU is celebrating its commitment to Indiana with RED HOT giveaways, pep rallies, and hands-on booths featuring many IU departments including the School of Music, Physics, Informatics, Optometry, the School of Medicine, the Kelley School of Business, and more. IU Day Events are free with paid admission into the Fair.
As part of IU Day at the State Fair, IU Athletics will participate in these events:
IU Athletics Tents on Expo Hall Street
10 a.m.-10 p.m.
IU Athletics will have two tents toward the south end of Expo Hall Street on IU Day. Stop by the large IU Athletics Tent to pick up your free IU keychain from WIBC-AM and HANK-FM along with a coupon for the State Fair Pack. The State Fair Pack includes a $25 admission ticket to any home IU Football game except Purdue plus food coupons for a free soda and hot dog at Memorial Stadium Concessions Stands (while supplies last). You also can pick up posters, schedule cards, and get information about our capital campaign, which includes construction of the North End Zone Facility at Memorial Stadium, the Basketball Development Center, new Baseball and Softball Stadiums, and the Academic Resource Center.
Get an Autograph from IU Football Legend Anthony Thompson
3-4 p.m.
Get an autograph from Indiana Football legend and 2007 College Football Hall of Fame Inductee Anthony Thompson from 3-4 pm at the small IU Athletics Tent next to the TIS Merchandise Tent.

Pep Rally with Coach Kelvin Sampson
Home and Family Arts Building Stage on Expo Hall Street
4:15-5 p.m.
IU Head Men's Basketball Coach Kelvin Sampson will address the crowd along with IU President Michael McRobbie. Members of the IU Marching Hundred and the IU Cheerleaders will perform. IU Alumni Association CEO Tom Martz will serve as emcee.

IU Day State Fair Parade
Begins at 6:30 p.m.
Line up at the Swine Barn and walk around the track (see map for route) You're invited to participate in the parade! Join the IU Cheerleaders, members of the IU Marching Hundred and other IU participants in walking the parade route. Parade line-up begins at 6:00 pm at the Swine Barn, with the parade start at 6:30 pm. Show your IU Spirit!
