BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women's basketball team will officially open the season on Friday, Oct. 17 when it welcomes fans to Assembly Hall for IU's annual Hoosier Hysteria.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the cost of admission is three canned goods or a cash donation both of which will benefit the Hoosier Hills Food Bank. The evening will begin with an autograph session from 7:30-8:30 pm. Following the Hoosier volleyball match vs. Ohio State at 7 p.m., IU head women's basketball coach Felisha Legette-Jack will lead her Hoosiers to the floor for an exciting evening of events.
Coach Jack will address the crowd and then the players will open up with their pre-game stretch and drills. The night will feature a 3-point shootout between the Hoosiers and the B97 morning crew from Alex's Playhouse - Alex and Josh. Following the 3-point contest, the Hoosiers will take the floor to give fans a preview of the team with a scrimmage.
Indiana will face Southern Indiana in its first exhibition game on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. on Branch McCracken Court. The Hoosiers will host the University of Indianapolis in their second and final exhibition contest on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m., before opening the regular season with Ball State in Assembly Hall in the first round of the Preseason WNIT on Friday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m.
