Noschang, Alston Pick Up Honors

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana University senior forward Kevin Noschang was named the co-Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
Noschang played a key role in Indiana's 3-1 win over then-No. 9 Notre Dame last Thursday night. It was Noschang's goal in the 27th minute that proved to be the game-winner for IU.
Noschang has appeared in nine matches this season with two starts, including the match against Notre Dame. He has two goals on the season, both of which have been game winners for the Hoosiers.
In addition to Noschang, junior defender Kevin Alston was named to the College Soccer News Team of the Week for his play against Notre Dame. Alston gave Indiana a 1-0 lead with a goal from 25 yards out in the 24th minute. Defensively he helped limit the Fighting Irish to just three shots on goal.
The Hoosiers are back in action this Wednesday as they play host to No. 13 Louisville. Match time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Jerry Yeagley Field at Armstrong Stadium.
