BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Several teams and staff members from the Indiana Department of Athletics showed their support at the 9th Annual Hoosiers Outrun Cancer, held by the Bloomington Hospital Foundation on Saturday, Oct. 4 at Memorial Stadium.

IU football, men's and women's basketball, rowing and volleyball, along with a number of staff members helped out and even competed in the annual event, which included a 5K run/walk, a one-mile family walk and a one-mile competitive kids' run.

Each year, the mission of Hoosiers Outrun Cancer is to raise funds to support the Bloomington Hospital Foundation's Women's Breast Health Campaign to bring digital mammography to the Bloomington community. This year's event had about 5,000 people registered with a goal of reaching $175,000.
