Robinson Set for NCAA Championships

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana redshirt junior Wendi Robinson will compete at the 2008 NCAA Cross Country Championships after earning an automatic bid with a fourth place finish at the Great Lakes Region Championships on Nov. 15. The championship event will take place on Monday, Nov. 24 at the LaVern Gibson Golf Course in Terre Haute, Ind. The women's 6K race is slated to begin at 12:08 p.m. ET.
Robinson clocked a time of 21:03.9 at the regional meet to pace the Hoosiers to a fifth place finish and earn her spot at nationals. She has led Indiana all season, finishing among the top five runners in four of IU's six meets. At the Big Ten Championships, Robinson crossed the finish line in a personal-best 20:55.1 in the 6K race to finish in eighth place and earn Second Team All-Big Ten honors.
Monday's meet will be streamed live on the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) website and at NCAASports.com from 12 - 1:30 p.m. ET.
