Women's Tennis Hosts IU Invitational Starting Friday Afternoon

BLOOMINGTON, ind. - The Indiana University women's tennis team concludes the fall portion of their 2008-09 schedule this weekend, hosting the IU Invitational inside the IU Tennis Center. The event begins at noon on Friday (Nov. 7) and runs through Sunday afternoon.
The playing format will includes three rounds of singles play and three rounds of doubles play with each of the four teams competing against each other in a round-robin format.
"All these teams play each other in dual matches and fall tournaments," said Head Coach Lin Loring. "So we will get together each day and hand-pick the matches so the players get to play people on each team they haven't played before. It should be both beneficial and fun for the players to play new people. It will be a good learning experience."
In the first round of singles play, beginning at noon on Friday, Indiana players will compete against players from Wisconsin; followed by DePaul against Western Michigan in singles action. The complete order of play is:
