Hoosiers to Face Ohio State in Big Ten Tournament

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana men's soccer team earned the No. 3 seed for the 2008 Big Ten Tournament and will face No. 6 seed Ohio State at 1 p.m. CT on Thursday, Nov. 13 at the McClimon Soccer Complex in Madison, Wis.
Indiana finished the regular season with a record of 10-5-3 overall, 3-3 in Big Ten action.
Michigan State earned the regular season title and No. 1 seed with a 5-1 conference mark. It earned a bye into the semifinal and will play the winner of the No. 4 Northwestern/No. 5 Penn State match on Friday, Nov. 14 at 11 a.m. CT. The Wildcats and Nittany Lions square off in the quarterfinals on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. CT.
The third quarterfinal matchup features No. 2 Michigan and No. 7 Wisconsin on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. CT. That winner will face the winner of the Hoosiers-Buckeyes matchup on Friday at 1:30 p.m. CT in the semifinals.
Both semifinal matches, as well as the final on Sunday at Noon CT will be broadcast live on the Big Ten Network. Indiana is chasing its 12th Big Ten Tournament title and its second in the last three years. Indiana won the title in 2006 with a 1-0 win over Ohio State. Last year the Hoosiers and Buckeyes played to a scoreless double overtime tie in the championship game, with Ohio State winning the title in penalty kicks, 5-4.
