Former IU Great Don McKenzie Passes Away

Six-time All-American and 1968 Olympian Don McKenzie, 61, passed away last week after a lengthy battle with brain cancer.
McKenzie earned a pair of All-America certificates in the breaststroke in 1968, along with relay honors. In 1969 he repeated his All-America efforts in the same events.
A two-time Gold Medalist at the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City, McKenzie won the 100 breaststroke and was a member of the victorious 400 medley relay. During his career he set one world record and five American records.
