BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana University Department of Athletics announced today that 95.9 FM/1370 AM WGCL will broadcast Indiana's NCAA quarterfinal men's soccer match Saturday night at St. John's University in Queens, N.Y. Coverage starts at 4:45 p.m. ET with the match scheduled to kick off at 5 p.m.
Chris Doran, Chicago Fire and Big Ten Network television analyst, will call the action. Doran's voice should be familiar to Hoosier fans as he has been covering IU soccer for several years, including broadcasts of the 2003 and 2004 NCAA College Cups.
Indiana enters Saturday's match with a 14-6-3 record and victorious in five of its last six matches. The No. 6 seed Hoosiers have yet to give up a goal in NCAA Tournament action with a 2-0 win over Saint Louis in the second round, and a 3-0 shutout of Michigan last Saturday in the third round. The Hoosiers are aiming for their 18th College Cup appearance and their first since the 2004 season. St. John's is 18-2-3 on the year and the No. 3 seed. The Red Storm have yet to lose a match at home in 2008, going 11-0.
