Indiana Postgame Notes
Indiana at Wake Forest
Dec. 3, 2008
• Indiana falls to 3-5 all-time in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge with the loss to Wake Forest. The Hoosiers also lost to Wake Forest in 2003, also part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, by a score of 100-67.
• The Hoosiers still hold a 28-18 advantage in the all-time series against teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference.
• Indiana head coach Tom Crean's record against Wake Forest falls to 1-2 all-time with the loss. Crean defeated the Demon Deacons on Feb. 9, 2003 in Milwaukee, 68-61 after losing to Wake Forest in Winston-Salem on Dec. 29, 2001, 64-59.
• Indiana forced the Demon Deacons into 24 turnovers in the game, the most since they forced 30 miscues by Northwestern State in the season opener this year.
• Wake Forest made just five three-point field goals in the game, tying the fewest the Hoosiers have given up in a game this season, as IUPUI also only made five triples.
• Although Wake Forest held a decided advantage in height, Indiana held an 18-12 lead in second chance points (13 offensive rebounds) and the Hoosiers were only out-rebounded by four (34-30).
• Despite the final score, the Hoosiers actually led on three separate occasions in the first half.
