BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - On Saturday, Feb. 16, your Indiana men's basketball team will host ESPN's College GameDay, as the program is making its inaugural trip to Assembly Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
Gates will open at 9 a.m. on the South side of Assembly Hall for students and general public to show their Hoosier pride and participate in the College GameDay experience. GameDay, featuring Rece Davis, Jay Bilas, Hubert Davis and Digger Phelps, gives updates during the 10 a.m. SportsCenter and airs live from Assembly Hall from 11 a.m. to noon.
Fans are encouraged to make or bring signs to the event. GameDay, sponsored by State Farm Insurance, and the department of athletics will also provide materials for fans to make signs.
One lucky fan will be chosen at random to take a half-court shot during the broadcast. If the fan makes the shot, they will receive a $7,500 prize and $10,000 will go to the university's general scholarship fund.
Indiana's band and cheerleaders, along with the GameDay crew, will provide entertainment for the fans leading up to the beginning of the broadcast.
