FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.- The Hoosiers competed day two of competition in the Tyson Invitational on Saturday. The event took place at the Randal Tyson Track Center on the Arkansas campus.
The men were led by sophomore Jared Nuxoll, who finished third in the high jump. The team recorded one career best, two top-ten finishes and Nuxoll's top-three finish. On Friday, the Hoosiers also competed well, recording four career marks and one top-five finish.
Nuxoll cleared a height of 2.05m for his third place finish. The first-place height was just five centimeters more, at 2.10m, which is Nuxoll's career best.
In the weight throw, senior Paul Fearnow placed ninth, recording a heave of 18.66m. The mark is just one centimeter short of the career best that Fearnow recorded last week at the Meyo Invitational in South Bend.
In the 200m dash, senior Jacob Moylan recorded a career best. His time of 22.31 seconds was a .14 second improvement on his previous best.
The Hoosiers will return to action in two weeks on March 1-2 in the Big Ten Championships in Madison, Wisc.
