In the weeks leading up to the 2008 season, IUHoosiers.com will be introducing you to the newest members of the Indiana Baseball team. The newcomer profile for Sunday, Feb. 17, is of freshman catcher Dylan Swift.
Dylan Swift joins the Hoosiers after playing four years for Princeton Community High School. The catcher was a four-year Big Eight All-Conference selection, a four-year team captain and a four-year all-county honoree.
As a senior, Swift earned all-area accolades and most valuable player recognition. He also was named MVP following his sophomore season.
Prior to the 2007 season, the Princeton, Ind., native was named a Pre-Season Under Armour All-American. He wrapped up the year playing in the Indiana North/South All-Star Game.
The son of Buddy and Gena Swift was born on Jan. 21, 1989, and is undecided as to his major at Indiana.
