BATON ROUGE, La. - The Indiana baseball team will take on LSU in the second game of a three-game series against the No. 34 Tigers on Saturday. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m. CST/2 p.m. EST as the Hoosiers will send sophomore Matt Bashore to the hill against LSU's Jordan Brown.
On Friday, IU was tripped up in its first contest of the 2008 season by the Tigers, 7-1. Freshman Jerrud Sabourin went 2-for-2 and drove in IU's run in the game, while Andrew Means had a 2-for-4 outing in his 2008 debut.
Josh Phegley went 1-for-4 with a run for the Hoosiers, and the catcher also gunned down a pair of baserunners before moving to left field for his first career appearance in the outfield. Evan Crawford, Kipp Schutz and Tyler Rogers each had single hits for Indiana in the loss.
