COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Indiana women's water polo team put its offense on display against Brown University in a 14-8 win on Saturday at the Elite Six Tournament hosted by the University of Maryland. Maggie Hannon and Amy Moore each scored three goals to pace the Indiana (6-7) offense that had nine players score goals in the game.
After the first eight minutes, IU and Brown were tied at 3-3 and the teams went into intermission with the Hoosiers leading by one, 8-7.
But in the second half, the Indiana defense put the clamps down, holding the Bears (2-3) to just two goals while the offense continued to roll, scoring three goals in both the third and fourth periods.
Moore entered the game having scored four goals total on the season before her outburst on Saturday while Hannon now has 19 goals to her credit this season.
