BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Head coach Bill Lynch led the Indiana football team through its first spring practice Tuesday afternoon. The team practiced for approximately two hours in Mellencamp Pavilion.
Being their first practice, the Hoosiers did not go in pads and will not until practice No. 3 on Friday. IU returns to the field on Thursday at 4 p.m.
It was a purposeful practice as the team worked on its new no-huddle offense, which was led by sophomore quarterback and Bloomington South Ben Chappell. The squad also welcomed a pair of newcomers, early enrollees Kyle Kozak and A.J. Thompson. Kozak is currently working with the defensive lineman, while Thompson is starting his Hoosier career on the o-line.
