IU Women's Basketball Celebrates Season with Annual Team Banquet

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women's basketball team celebrated the regular season with its annual banquet, which took place in Alumni Hall at the IU Memorial Union on Monday, March 3.
The Hoosiers honored junior Amber Jackson with the Scholar-Athlete Award, while junior Kim Roberson earned Defensive Player of the Year. Junior Whitney Thomas received the Coaches Award and was also honored as the team Most Valuable Player. Each award is voted on by the team and coaching staff.
Sixth-seeded Indiana opens the postseason on Thursday, March 6 when they face (11) Northwestern in the first round of the Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament presented by Xbox 360 Live at 2:25 p.m. ET at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
