BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The 2008 Athletic Training Student Recognition Banquet was held earlier this week. Many IU student athletic trainers were honored for their hard work and dedication to Indiana Athletics. These student athletic trainers play a large role in the success of IU student-athletes, coaches and athletic programs.
"This was the seventh year that the Indiana University Athletic Training/Sports Medicine program has been able to offer an event to recognize clinical and educational excellence, honor outstanding achievements, and say thank you to all the athletic training students who work behind the scenes to provide healthcare to our student-athletes," said IU Athletics Head Trainer Kip Smith.
"Our banquet was a nice evening as a staff and faculty to show our appreciation of their efforts put forth through dedication, hard work, and sacrifice. We have some great young men and women who are going to be excellent future leaders, educators and clinicians of the athletic training profession."
