Four Hoosiers Earn CWPA All-Western Division Honors

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Indiana senior attacker Brooke Zimmerman was named to the first team CWPA All-Western Division and Brittany Estrada, Maggie Hannon and Katie Carson were all named to the second team. For Zimmerman, this is the third consecutive season she has been named to the first team.
Zimmerman, a native of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, had 71 goals to her credit entering the Eastern Championships this weekend and also had 54 assists to lead the team in both categories. She also entered play this weekend with 200 goals scored, which is good for third all-time, and a school career record of 149 assists.
Carson, the product of Modesto, Calif., earns second team goalkeeper accolades for the second straight season. The sophomore made 165 this season, including a 15-save effort against Princeton and a 14-save game against Santa Clara.
Estrada and Hannon both received accolades for the first time with their second team awards. Estrada, a senior from Coronado, Calif., scored 20 goals this season and came on strong at the end of the season, scoring six goals in the last six games to help the Hoosiers to a 6-1 mark in Western Division play.
Hannon, a product of Ann Arbor, Mich., has also increased her productivity in recent weeks. In the nine matches the Hoosiers played in the month of April leading up to the Eastern Championships, the junior had scored 23 goals to bring her single-season career high total up to 54 after entering the year with 31 career goals.
