BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Martyna Popik continues to share her journey home with Hoosier fans across the globe in the second installment of "Popik's Postcard." Recently, she emailed IUHoosiers.com several photos of her trip thus far, along with a short journal entry.
"So far it's been great to be home. The weather is beautiful, so I am trying to not be inside all the time. I took a trip to Cracow to visit my friends who are twins. I have known them since I was one year old. Cracow is the most beautiful city in Poland. There is the biggest and the oldest university, castle in Poland. During the time I was there, the university students celebrated a holiday called "juwenalia." I tried to find an English word for it, but couldn't find one. It's an annual students' holiday here in Poland. It was so much fun!
"I also visited my grandparents (I sent photos). I will try to update my trip postcard soon!"
Be sure to check back here at IUHoosiers.com in the coming weeks to hear all about Popik's voyage and view more photo galleries of the trip.
