Carr Named Big Ten Sportsmanship Honoree

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Senior Kyndal Carr was named a Big Ten Sportsmanship honoree following her performances in the 2008 Big Ten Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 16-18 in Champaign, Ill.

Carr competed in the 100 and 200-meters, and ran a leg of IU's 4x400-meter relay team that won their heat and finished seventh overall with a time of 3:45.42. Carr also recorded personal-best times of 12.11 and 25.10 in the 100 and 200-meters, respectively.

She is now a candidate for the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award, as the conference office will honor one male and one female student-athlete from each institution at the end of the school year.
