Women's Golf Honors Its Own at Team Dinner

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana University women's golf team held its annual team dinner Friday night as head coach Clint Wallman and assistant coach Katie Brophy took time to honor the 2008 team.
Freshman Lauren Giesecke picked up her first letterwinner award, while sophomores Kellye Belcher, Anita Gahir and Laura Nochta, junior Amber Lindgren and seniors Lauren Harling and Elaine Harris also earned letters.
Lindgren was picked up the Cream and Crimson Cup, along with the Hoosier Heart Award and Coaches Award. Giesecke was named the team's Most Improved Player, and Gahir was honored at the Hoosier of the Year.
The season continues for the Hoosiers this week as they travel to Athens, Ga. for the NCAA East Regional. IU will compete against 20 other teams May 8-10 at the UGA Course.
