Allenspach Wins Another Award

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Golf Coaches Association of America recently announced IU Golfer Andrew Allenspach as a Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar. Allenspach was also recognized as an Academic Al-American following the season.
Recipients for the award must be a junior or senior academically, compete in 70-percent of his team's rounds, have an average score under 76.0 and maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2.
Allenspach's best finish of the 2007-08 campaign came at the UMB Bank-Mizzou Tiger Classic where he placed fifth. He also tied for sixth at the adidas Hoosier Invitational, one of three top ten finishes on the year. Allenspach competed in 39 rounds for the Hoosiers with an average of 74.69 and a low score of 67 at the Windon Memorial Classic.
