Men's Soccer Youth Day Set for Aug. 31

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana men's soccer team will play host to its annual Youth Day on Sunday, Aug. 31 as the Hoosiers take on the Akron Zips in the final match of the adidas/IU Credit Union Classic. Game time is 2 p.m. at Jerry Yeagley Field at Armstrong Stadium.
The match, which will be broadcast live to a national audience on the Big Ten Network, features two teams ranked in the preseason top-25. The Hoosiers are No. 7 in the NSCAA/adidas coaches poll, while the Zips occupy the No. 12 spot. The match also features a pair of preseason MAC Hermann Trophy candidates in IU's Brad Ring and Akron's Steve Zakuani.
Following the match, fans will have the opportunity to get their favorite Hoosiers' autographs. Posters and pens will be provided.
All youth soccer teams are invited to attend the match for FREE. Simply click on the link above to download the youth soccer form, print and fill out the form and fax it to the IU Athletic Marketing office at (812) 855-9401. You can also e-mail your team's roster to meallen@indiana.edu. A roster form must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 27, in order to gain free admission for your team.
