BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana players won four of the five finals matches at the Hoosier Invitational on Sunday. The Hoosiers brought home the championships in the IU flight singles, the doubles flight, the Crimson flight singles and the Cream flight singles.
Sophomore Lachlan Ferguson took the IU flight finals, defeating fellow Hoosier Chris Peek for the championship. Ferguson wasn't able to defeat Peek in their other matchup on the day.
Peek and freshman Jeremy Langer took the doubles crown, defeating Ferguson and senior Peter Antons by a tally of 8-6. Langer won the Crimson flight singles, defeating Western Michigan's Zeyad Montasser by a score of 6-1, 6-3.
Langer wasn't the only freshman to win his first collegiate tournament, as Will Kendall won the Cream Flight singles, defeating Mike Dieciuc of Xavier 6-1, 6-2.
The Hoosiers also had freshman Maxime Armengaud in the Hoosier Flight. Armengaud fell to Robert Hall of Louisville in final.
The Hoosiers return to action on Oct. 10, when they will play at Louisville. For complete coverage of Indiana men's tennis, stay tuned to www.IUHoosiers.com.
