BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Athletics held a banquet on Tuesday, Sept. 23, recognizing its 2008 Spring Alpha Beta Honorary members.
In Greek, alpha and beta are the first and second letters in the alphabet; in astronomy, they are the first and second brightest stars in a constellation. For IU Athletics, they represent the A's and B's that demonstrate academic execellence.
The Alpha Beta Honorary recognizes those student-athletes who have earned a minimum 3.2 grade point average in their most recent academic semester. We congratulate them for their dedication and for their success in balancing academics and athletics.
