BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Athletics successfully hosted "The Ultimate Roadtrip: Campus2Career" for freshmen and sophomore student-athletes on Tuesday, Sept. 2 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium in Memorial Stadium.
The program was a dynamic and energetic presentation about the choices students-athletes make during college. It also helped give students-athletes the confidence to survive their college years and use their entire college experience to drive themselves toward future career success.
"It was a good refresher for us and made us think," said IU field hockey sophomore Katie Griswold. "It really emphasized the importance in starting now."
"The Ultimate Roadtrip: Campus2Career" also included topics on successfully managing the transition to college, tips for getting great grades and managing time, the power of work experience and internships, meaningful extracurricular involvement, managing online time and activities and the importance of starting now.
"I learned how important it is to manage our time, especially as student-athletes as we usually have a lot going on day-to-day," said Hoosier wrestling freshman Geno Capezio.
Indiana Athletics cares about the success of its student-athletes. We are committed to providing an environment that supports the academic and personal success of all student-athletes, while ensuring a smooth transition into this new stage of their lives.
