Day Three Report From New Year's Invitational

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - With one round to play at the 2009 New Year's Invitational, Alex Martin is Indiana's top performer thus far with a three-round total of 219 (72-73-74), good for a share of 20th place.
Ren Han carded the best score for IU on Saturday, posting a 72. Add in his first two round scores of 75 and 78, and it puts Han in a tie for 41st at 225 strokes. Teammate Chase Wright is who Han is even with as Wright has recorded scores of 74-76-75=225 through his first 54 holes. Brandon Pike is not far behind that pair after posting his second consecutive 73 on Saturday. Pike's 227 total slots him in a tie for 43rd.
David Erdy (76-82-75=233), Andrew Frandsen (76-85-76237) and Ben Bellville (84-80-84=249) are also in the competition.
