BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana University has been selected as host of the 2010 NCAA Women's Golf Central Regional, the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Committee announced earlier this month. The Hoosiers will play host to the Central Regional Championships at the Otter Creek Golf Club in Columbus, Ind.
"To host an NCAA Regional Championship is tremendous honor," said head coach Clint Wallman. "Otter Creek Golf Club is a wonderful venue for such an event."

East Carolina University will serve as host of the East Regional Championships at the Ironwood Country Club in Greenville, N.C.; and Stanford University will host the West Regional Championships at the Stanford Golf Course in Stanford, Calif. All regional championships will be played from May 6-8.
The eight lowest scoring teams, as well as the two lowest scoring individuals not on an advancing team, from each of the three regional championships will qualify for the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship. The championship will be held May 18-21 at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, N.C., with the University of North Carolina, Wilmington serving as the host school.
Several teams will get a preview of the regional course as Indiana plays host to the 2009 IU Invitational at Otter Creek Golf Club, April 6-7. Indiana has advanced to regional play each of the last two seasons and finished 24th at the 2007 NCAA Championships.
After a winter layoff the Hoosiers return to action this Sunday (Feb. 1) with match play against Wisconsin in Phoenix, Ariz. The tournament schedule resumes Feb. 8-10, at the Lade Puerto Rico Classic in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.
