Hoosiers Announce Illinois Game Captains

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana head football coach Bill Lynch announced running back Bryan Payton, linebacker Will Patterson, defensive end Jammie Kirlew and offensive lineman Mike Reiter will serve as game captains when the Hoosiers host Illinois at 7 p.m. on Saturday. Payton (second consecutive week), Patterson and Kirlew were named captains for the third time this season, while Reiter earned his second honor.
Lynch will announce captains prior to each game. The team will select this year's permanent captains upon the conclusion of the season.
Returning to conference play following a trip to Virginia, Indiana (3-3, 0-2 Big Ten) welcomes Illinois (1-4, 0-3 Big Ten) to Bloomington for IU's 97th Homecoming. The game will be televised on the Big Ten Network. This is Indiana's third Big Ten Network primetime showdown this season.
Craig Coshun will handle play-by-play duties and he will be joined by analyst Anthony Herron and sideline reporter Mike Hall. All games can also be heard on the statewide IU Radio Network and on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio with Don Fischer (play-by-play), Pete Compise (analyst) and Joe Smith (pre-game, halftime and post-game) on the call.
