Juneau Advances to Semifinals at Louisville Winter Invitational

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Freshman Isade Juneau advanced to the final of his first collegiate tournament, and he appears to be on the way to doing the same in his second. Juneau won two singles matches to advance to the Sunday semifinal at the Louisville Winter Invitational.
Juneau defeated Josh Girling of Tennessee Tech by a score of 7-6 (8-6), 2-6, 6-3, and then in the quarterfinal, he put away Sumit Gupta of Louisville 6-4, 6-7 (7-4), 6-4. He will play Brandon MacDonald of Xavier in the semifinals on Sunday.
Sophomore Will Kendall advanced to the quarterfinals before falling to Thomas Kind of Western Kentucky. Stephen Vogl recorded two wins on the day in consolation action, where he will have a semifinal matchup on Sunday with Patrick Bandy of Xavier. And in doubles action, Kendall and freshman Tommy Aliber advanced to a consolation semifinal as well.
