ITA Regional in Cincinnati Begins Thursday

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Sophomore Megan Matter attempts to join five of her teammates in the main draw of the ITA Regional at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. The tournament is being hosted this weekend in Cincinnati, Ohio. After receiving a first-round bye in the Qualifier, Matter needs to win just one match to place herself in the 64-person main draw.
Matter will face the winner of an earlier match pitting Alex Dachos of Middle Tennessee State versus Cincinnati's Caitlyn O'Gara.
The five Hoosiers already in the main draw include: Leslie Hureau, Myriam Sopel, Lindsey Stuckey, Evgeniya Vertesheva and Katya Zapadalova. Hureau was named the No. 10 seed.
In doubles action, all six IU players will compete. The doubles teams are as follows:
No. 4 seed- Hureau and Sopel
Vertesheva and Zapadalova
Matter and Stuckey
