Hoosiers Ready For Home Finale Against No. 22 Purdue

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -
The Indiana women's soccer team (10-5-2, 2-4-2 Big Ten) will play its final regular season game at home on Tuesday when they welcome No. 22 Purdue (10-5-3, 3-3-2 Big Ten) to Armstrong Stadium for a 7 p.m. start. The Hoosiers will be looking for their ninth win at home on the year to match the most in head coach Mick Lyon's eight years in Bloomington. In 2007, Lyon and the Hoosiers were 9-1-1 on Yeagley Field at Armstrong Stadium on their way to a NCAA Tournament berth and a run to the Sweet 16.
This game was originally scheduled for Oct. 8, but was postponed due to heavy rain that left Armstrong Stadium with standing water. Tuesday's game will not be carried by the Big Ten Network, even though the Oct. 8 game was supposed to be on the network.
SCOUTING PURDUE
The Boilermakers are coming off a 4-0 loss at Penn State on Sunday and a 5-2 win over Loyola Chicago on Wednesday. They are lead by senior co-captain Jessica Okoroafo who is the all-time leader in goals scored with 35 and has also played in a school-record 88th career game. She leads the team with 20 points (8 goals, 4 assists) and has four game-winning tallies on the season. Jenny Bradfisch has allowed just 18 goals in nearly 1500 minutes and has four shutouts to her credit.
LAST TIME OUT
The Hoosiers would like to forget the last time they took the field, as they were defeated 6-0 by Ohio State in Columbus. The Buckeyes scored two goals in the first half and then added on to that continually throughout the second half. Chloe McKay had two of the Hoosiers three shots in the game and Lauren Hollandworth suffered her first loss of the year in goal, falling to 2-1.
RECENT HISTORY AGAINST PURDUE
Despite only owning one win against the Boilermakers since Purdue added women's soccer as a varsity sport in 1996, the Hoosiers have had some relative success the last couple times they have played. Last season, the Hoosiers battled Purdue to a 1-1 tie on a goal by Jocelyn Moses with less than four minutes left in regulation. The meeting prior to that, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, the Hoosiers tied the Boilers once again and then advanced to the Sweet Sixteen by downing the Boilers in Penalty Kicks, 4-3.
