Haverly Named Big Ten Freshman of the Week ... Again

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Jordan Haverly garnered her third Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor on Monday after leading the Hoosiers to road wins over Wisconsin and Iowa this past weekend.
On Friday against the Badgers, she put down 22 kills on .333 hitting with seven digs, three total blocks, two assists and an ace in a five-set win. The following night at Iowa, she contributed 19 kills at a .531 clip with six digs and three assists in the 3-0 sweep. For the weekend, Haverly averaged 5.1 kills on .410 hitting with 1.6 digs per set
In the process, she demolished the previous school record for most kills by a freshman, bolting past 2008 Honorable Mention All-American Erica Short with 446 put-aways this season. Short had owned the record since '05, when she tallied 398 kills in her first year as a Hoosier.
