Indiana Will Face Wisconsin In Big Ten Tournament Quarterfinal Match

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The quest for a 12th Big Ten Tournament title for the Indiana men's soccer team will begin on Thursday as the No. 4 seed Hoosiers will face No. 5 seed Wisconsin at 12:30 p.m. on Jerry Yeagley Field at Armstrong Stadium.
Indiana finished the regular season with a 9-8-1 overall record and 3-3 mark in Big Ten play. The Badgers were 7-8-2 and 3-3 in conference action. The Hoosiers earned the No. 4 seed over the Badgers by virtue of their 1-0 win in Madison in September. Will Bruin had the game-winning goal for IU in the match.
The Hoosiers are 5-0 all-time in Big Ten Tournament games against Wisconsin, most recently posting a 2-0 win in 2005.
The match will also mark the first game back in Bloomington for former IU assistant coach and player Todd Yeagley, who is in his first season as head coach at Wisconsin.
Tournament play begins on Thursday with No. 3 Northwestern taking on No. 6 Michigan State at 10 a.m. IU and Wisconsin will follow, with No. 2 Penn State and No. 7 Michigan meeting in the final match of the day at 3 p.m.
Ohio State won the Big Ten regular season title with a 4-2 conference record, earning the No. 1 seed and a bye into the semifinal round. The Buckeyes will face the winner of the IU-Wisconsin match at 2 p.m. Friday. The game will be broadcast live on the Big Ten Network. The other semifinal matchup will take place at 4:30 p.m. The championship game is schedule for 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15.
