BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana closed out its double header with a convincing victory over the Georgia State Panthers. The Hoosiers won 7-0, winning every match in straight sets. Freshman Jeremy Langer continued his solid play to finish the day 4-0.
Langer joined sophomore Santiago Gruter for an 8-3 win at number one doubles. IU swept all three doubles matches for the doubles point.
Langer defeated Jackson Moore at number four singles 6-1, 6-3. Fellow freshman Will Kendall was also impressive, defeating Trenton Spinks 6-0, 6-1. The number one and two singles matches were the closest of the meet, with the Panther players forcing sophomores Lachlan Ferguson (1) and Gruter (2) to each win the second set by a 7-5 tally.
The Hoosiers return to action when they take on the Kentucky Wildcats in a border battle that will be played in Louisville, Ky. That meet is scheduled for an 8 p.m. start on Feb. 14. For complete coverage of IU tennis, stay tuned to www.IUHoosiers.com.
