BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Much like Kellen Lewis, Ray Fisher is extremely pleased with his position change this spring. The senior has moved to cornerback after spending his first three seasons at wide receiver, and he recently spoke with the media regarding the switch. Fisher has the speed and added 13 pounds of muscle in order to return to the defensive position he manned as a two-way player at Glenville High School. He asked the coaches to make the switch because he felt he could give a lift to a young, inexperienced secondary.
One of just 14 Hoosiers with 100 career receptions and 1,000 career receiving yards, Fisher has practiced with the first unit early on this spring. He finished the 2008 campaign with a team-best 42 receptions and five touchdowns and finished second with 373 yards.
